Rule applied: California: 1.5x after 8h/day; 1.5x after 40h/week; double time applies; 7th-day rule applies (CA Labor Code §510)
- Hours already paid at a daily premium do not count again toward the weekly 40-hour threshold (no pyramiding). Many workers (e.g., qualifying white-collar employees) are exempt from these rules.
- 7th-day rule applied because all 7 days have hours. If you did not work 7 consecutive days, day 7 uses the normal daily rule.
